Developer Workshop

Experts will assist while you code using the Good Dynamics SDK using your chosen development environment, including Android™ Studio, Xcode, Cordova™ and Xamarin™. In this instructor-led workshop, we will cover the following Good Dynamics topics:

Accordion

  • The workshop begins with an introduction to the Good Dynamics application platform that covers both platform architecture and features. Gain a better understanding of how the platform handles the complexities of security and manageability, allowing developers to focus on building business functionality.

  • Build your first application using the Good Dynamics SDK. Learn the fundamentals of a Good-enabled application by integrating Good Dynamics API calls into a sample application (or bring your own code) and deploy it to a simulator or your device.

  • Learn how to set up your application in the Good Dynamics management console. Applications often have dynamic settings unique to different enterprise installations. Instead of compiling an application multiple times as these values change, you can set up application configurations that are applied at run time.

  • Hear how BlackBerry does the heavy lifting for developers by providing APIs that secure your data at rest and in transit.

  • Improve your user experience when accessing back-end data by learning about Kerberos login, Kerberos Constrained Delegation (KCD), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), PKINIT, and Good Dynamics authentication tokens.

  • You can extend the user interface of the Good Dynamics management with your own custom policies and settings by defining Application Policies.

  • Enable your applications to securely exchange data, publish services, and consume services with other Good Dynamics applications on the same device. This app-to-app inter-operability allows you to create secure, end-to-end workflows comprised of your own applications, the BlackBerry application suite, and other third party applications.

  • Good Enterprise Mobility Server (GEMS) provides backend APIs for presence, directory lookups, documents, etc. Discover the different services and APIs available and understand what is involved in creating your own custom services for consumption.

  • WatchDox is the leading enterprise secure document file, sync and share (EFSS) solution. Our unique digital rights management (DRM) services protect shared files in 256-bit encryption and enforce access controls, provide dynamic digital watermarking and control what a user can do with the file (view, download, edit, print, forward), even after it leaves your security perimeter. Many of our customers use our developer tools to integrate WatchDox services into their existing enterprise applications. This session will introduce you to WatchDox and how to access and use the WatchDox developer tools to integrate WatchDox EFSS and DRM services into your applications and solutions.

  • Get a sneak peek at the upcoming release of the Good Dynamics SDK and developer roadmap.
